Well if it isn't Otto the Otter playing in the lake that runs off the River. I Just wish he would have gotten a little bit closer. Tech Talk: ISO-100 1/250Sec F 5.6 @ 700MM (Olympus 1.7 Teleconverter) Heavy crop job ==Panasonic DMC FZ50==

I hope you warned Otto about the gators. Poor thing won't stand a chance if he's discovered by them. Nice river shot, Ed.

The same thought occurred to me (what Jimbob has said) when I saw this photo. He may be a bit far but the green background makes up for it.

Well... I feel silly. I didn't even realize they were roaming free around here. Wonderful detail considering the distance. Thank you for sharing him.

I didn't realize how much they resembled a seal until this shot Huck. We have them around here as well. They are considered to be very playful. Should fit right in with you. lol

At first glance I thought it was the Lock Ness Monster. Wonderful capture Ed ... the water must not be very deep there. I like the otters pose ... nice profile of him or her. Thanks for sharing this one.

I too hope this cutie stays clear of the gators. Very nice capture. some year ago while driving down the highway in Florida, I actually saw a live one in the ditch (had water) along the side of the road. =^..^= sandi ♪

I didn't know there were otters in the water down there. I can see where it might be mistaken for Nessy. What fun to see one playing about. I've only seen them in the zoo or the aquarium. Nice capture, Ed. Thanks.

I, for another, didn't know you had otters down there... That's some funky water he's playing in. Come to think, you have so many canals in Florida that I shouldn't be surprised at all. Nice picture even at a distance... and I do envy you that lens. ;-))
