Yes! another long distance shot of an Osprey pair nesting. This was abour 12 miles down the river from the last nest i found. I wish that one day a pair would build there nest on my side of the river. There never seems to be a boat or bridge around when you could really use it. And i'm not swimming across because i know all those Gators got to be Peeing in that river.

Your keen eye spotted a good one Ed. Too bad it was not closer but I would not swim that river either. Lol! =^..^= sandi ♪

Don't let a gator's pipi stop you from swimming across, Ed. It will quickly heal any "wounds" that you may suffer on the way :) Good shot you have got here and those trees make a fine background.

Gators doing it in the River is the last thing I'd be worried about Tarzan. LOL.
Too Bad about the Ospreys Not cooperating with your nesting plans. But hey, you got real lucky shooting two birds with One Shot. Now put on that James Bond motorized gator suit and get on over there.

Wonderful! Considering the distance the details are great. I totally relate to the wild life being on the wrong side... : )

I know what you mean about being on the wrong side of the river. I happen to like long view captures of birds & wildlife as it gives an exact perspective of where they live or nest. Great colors & details ... nicely composed too. Excellent work Ed.

Even from that distance, the one on the left has spotted you with the camera. I can't tell if he is happy or mad about you being there. Nice capture, Ed.

Sounds like one of those "grass is always" greener stories. I wouldn't swim the river either Huck. I hate the sound of bones crunching. Especially when they are mine. Nice capture of the Osprey. Stay safe.

Great work Ed! Stay out of the river~those gators look fierce! This is a good family shot! Gives perspective as to how high and away these nests are! :)Ami

I love Ospreys. All the nests that I have seen have been on
platforms. It is very cool to see one that has not required the
help of humans.

How great to get an osprey shot or even see them.
And, of course, they're smarter than we are and build far away from us.

I love that nest! Lots of Spanish moss draped over the side... Around here they use parts of fishing nets, plastic bags, and just about anything else...
