One of a few plants that's made it through the droughts and freezes. I planted this many years ago from a seed. It usually grows a round yellowish ball that opens into new leaves. I don't what this thing is getting ready to do now.

Nice image with sharp details, Ed. The yellow is very conspicuous against the green.

As far as I'm concerned, this qualifies as a Friday Foofy. LOL. Pretty nice shot, and very interesting looking.

Have to guess for it Ed, as I never saw a sago palm this way.

It is a little unusual because it does usually make a round ball. It appears almost like a pineapple palm. The fact that you grew it from a seed is admirable.

Maybe it's about to get all sexy and start to shoot seeds out right and left... in which case it would probably be wise to duck...

The palm fronds make a wonderful deep green circle around the bright... sago-apple... Kidding aside, it's niiicely done.
