While i was standing in the water taking this shot i couldn't help but notice my monopod seamed to be moving. Oops sorry Mr Turtle i thought you were one of the rocks. I also noticed that the river bank wasn't very high on the other side. Hmmmm! Suddenly! I thought i heard my wife's voice. i turned around just in time to hear her holler "Don't even think about crossing that river and leaving me here alone". Yes Dear i wouldn't even think about it hehehe. I thought i stay and get a few more shots in before attempting to climb back up to where my wife was standing with her hands on her hips.

When you wife has her hands on her hips...the correct answer is always "Yes Dear". I lovethe stop action on the water and the light playing games with the shadows is perfect. Excellent work again my friend.

Hand on Hips.....Not Good!
This was your chance to show her who's in charge in the Wild. LOL.
Do you think Tarzan would have listened to Jane?
He would have jumped in that rushing water and been lookin for a Gator to Wrestle.
Well Better Luck next Trip. LOL.

Cool and Refreshing Post ED........Thanks!

Seems you found a sweet spot! A refreshing shot of the flowing river. Again I am struck by the smooth side of the river verses the rushing waters. Fun back story... hands on hips.. It's much better than the glazed over look I often get! : )

My hubby would have left hours before I even thought about getting out of the water & climbing up the hill. Love the motion of the water ... great colors too. Now I'm wondering what happened to Mr. Turtle. Great capture & story Ed.

Those turtles will get you in the old shell game every time Huck. You made a wise decision with the missus. You are coming up gold with your panning for photos in this river. A great action shot and the clarity is superb.
It always seems to turn out better if you jump in and get your feet wet.

Enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend.

I too notice that the water seemed low, good thing I wasn't with you, we would have been walking home. Yes dear was good, then you go home and say, darn we need more milk and high tail it out of the house back to river......I love your shot.
