Yep! A view of the Egmont Key topless Lighthose up close while standing on the island. I tried to find a lighthouse with a top on the Florida west coast. But they seem to be stick lighthouse (A frame with a light on top). Have a great Weekend

Ed, It looks so stunning set against the blue sky. I think I see a bit of noise in the sky but otherwise I think it's good one my friend. I hope this is going to be a lighthouse series.

I think the community should take up a collection to get a new top for the lighthouse. Lighthouses have personalities, and this one has been stripped of it's identity. LOL. It's still a great picture of it. Nice post, Ed.

A pity that they dismantled the top. They could have just left it on. All the same, Ed, your photo looks great with the white structures against the blue sky.

Was somewhat frightened by reading only your title Ed, lol, but see now that there's no reason to be frightened at all.
Great post my friend. You're spoiling the lighthouse specialist Jimbob, lol again!

Very well seen against the sky. I guess it is topless for wind resistance.

It does look like a matchstick Huck. I agree with JimboB and they should put a string around it for people to stick dollar bills. Someone told me about that. :) Excellent post and I imagine a ship could barely make out this lighthouse.

Like Mr. C, I was a bit apprehensive about the title too. Me thinks you enjoy a being a bit of a tease! Stunning contrasts against that blue FL sky. Will they let you go up? Maybe a surprise up there!

I really hope they can restore it someday soon. Things like this should not be lost. Very nice shot, and thanks for the post that has me thinking on how to help lighthouses in need.

Very nice detail in this scene ... I notice a bit of noise in the sky, but not too bad. I like how you this composed this ... gives nice scale to how tall the lighthouse actually is. Very well done Ed.
