Another shot of the Roseate Spoonbill at the pond. I didn't notice that leg band before. I wonder if he's from Buch Gardens which is only 2 miles away from this pond. In the 60's i lived in this neighborhood and many Macaws and Parrots would land in my yard..

With that band on the leg he is definitely not a wild bird unless he has been marked for observation. Beautiful shot Ed, The colour of the bird looks great and I like how the sunshine makes patterns on the "spoon".

What a strange, exotic and beautiful bird... Nicely captured. His leg band may indicate that he's a wild bird that's been tagged for observation...

That is so cool to have these birds flying into your area from Bush Gardens. This spoonbill sure has wonderful colours and love the reflection in the water. Marvelous capture and lighting Ed

I wish I had a pond like this to visit too! Love his colors and his pink reflections. I would be amazed to see something like that in my yard.

I think you need to get a lot closer so we can read that leg band! Truly it a great shot of a beautiful bird, I think he did get away from Busch Gardens.
