This was taken yesterday at the lake where i usually take my daily walk. The only access road down to the lake is covered with fallen trees and has now become the climb down to the lake. After weeks of severe storms the weather cleared up long enough to get out for a bit.

Wow Ed, this is a fabulous action shot and you sure were snapping this at the right time showing off his huge wings. Fabulous capture. I think he's a little mad your there, lol.

I like the way you have captured this bird with it's wings spread. Did you scare it off? Be careful climbing around down by the lake....I wouldn't want you to fall and hurt your camera. He he.

Ah, a nice close up! Such interesting birds. The only ones I see are so far away. I like his pose and details against the pond.

This is a beautiful shot Ed. Very good clarity and you got the bird with the wings spread out. It was worth climbing down to the lake, by all means.

Nice timing on the Anhinga's pose. The colors look great, but I notice the focus is a bit soft on the bird & logs. Did you crop the original any? Very well done on the composition Ed ... thanks for sharing this one.

These birds can sit with their wings spread like this for a long time. I remember taking a pic of one and finishing a picnic, 30 min later it was still in the same position. lol. I like the colors on this one. I usually only see them in black. Well done
