I spotted this pair while cutting the lawn in between thunderstorms yesterday. It was hard to focus while down on one knee and the camera over 2 foot away while 4 dogs were jumping all over me wanting to play. But if I got closer i'd still be lying there waiting for someone to help me get back up. The dogs aren't much help, they they just like to climb and lick ya when your down.

You sound just like me. It takes me forever to get back up, if I try to get a shot while on my knees or belly. Why, I'm getting so bad, walking on flat ground is like climbing uphill to me. LOL. Nice shot of the mushrooms, Ed. Are they edible? If so, Get the pizza crust and all the other goodies that go on it ready. I'm on my way.

Love these back stories... Who would know a still plant could be such a challenging adventure?! lol Those cloudy days can add so much details. I especially like the contrasts on the smaller 'shroom! Thank you for sharing both!

You did get quite a good close-up in spite of all that, Ed. The details are very clear and the mushrooms look very good.

A very nice shot, and be careful when you are alone, I have the same problem (I have a bad knee) the only good thing is you didn't have a crowd of people looking at you and trying to figure out what you were doing. I love woody photos. Great post.

I need a sky hook to get up from anything outside Huck. I can remember when old hippies did everything with a mushroom but take its photo. My how time changes everything. Great post.

Sounds like my place except add three more dogs to the four. A nicely composed image of the shrooms ... I like the surrounding textures too. Very well done Ed.
