I thought that i'd walk down to lake since the weeks of rain seemed to have let up for a while. I don't mind climbing over a few of the downed trees from the severe storms we had. But the size of those Mosquitos was unreal. I thought i was going to get some good dragonfly images. That's when i realized those weren't dragonflys but huge blood thirsty Mosquitos. I made a run for it and managed to get home with a bit of blood left in me.

Good title for the well done shot. Ed I do know so well what you mean about the mosquito's. I have been out and about and all I could hear was the sound of they buzzing and that gives me the creeps and I would run back to the car. :) I like the varied green tones in this one btw. Nice! ♪ ♫ :)sandi♪ =^..^=

I guess you had to turn back for a variety of reasons, least being those huge mosquitos. I guess the rain brings them out.
An interesting image. I wonder where it used to go.

It looks really like the abrupt end of the road - not even enough space to turn the car around. You at least manage to turn around and run back. Nice shot Ed - I like that jungle green.

I'm glad your house wasn't on the other side of this Dead End. The mosquitoes sound way to big for me. They seem to love my sweet blood, and don't like to share that. Very nice shot, and I'm glad you got out fast.

Gosh, for a second I thought I was in my woods ... have several downed trees & of course, they are blocking a trail / road ... minus the mosquito's though. Yep, no mosquito's.

A wonderful nature scene you captured Ed. Nice lead in with the road ... beautiful shades of green as well. My hubby has a log skidder ... I can send him your way. Thanks for sharing. ;-)

I would stop there. No climbing over that much stuff for me. If I tried clearing the path, I bet I would get bitten by a snake or something. That's just my kinda luck. Nice shot, Ed.

It looks like the skeeters have set a trap for you Huck. They must be in cahoots with the beavers. If I see any skeeters flying sideways up here, I'll figure they got to you. lol
Nice post.

In this case mother nature added a visually pleasing road block. Looks like the recent rains have the green in full swing now.... and the critters!

It sure looks like a place where Super Mosquitoes like to congregate... We're having a bumper crop of the pests too. Millions of them... ;-))
