This pair of Sandhill Cranes landed behind an 8 foot chain link fence. I pulled up next to the fence in the old the pickup, grabbed the folding stool. Then I climbed up on the tool box in the truck bed, had a seat, and got this shot. The Cranes were watching every move I made and looked "Totally Confused"

You lucky guy...coming across these two beauties. They look like they are thinking you are going to shoot at them, and are trying to figure out the best direction for escape. Great shot, Ed. They had some of these birds at the Toledo Zoo, and I got exactly zero shots of them. I'll just look at your purdy picture.

They must have expected something to eat and not a tool box Ed. Great shot of the two facing in different directions.

They probably thought you had a shotgun in that toolbox Huck. Great s Such a good shot of Stephen and Ichabod. They look confused and on guard. Excellent work. I wonder how many people took a shot of you sitting on the toolbox. lol

LOve it. These cranes used to get in the way on the golf course when I lived in FL. I once had one sit on my ball in a sand trap, guess she thought it was an egg lol. Thanks for sharing.

I like how you caught those two not looking directly at you but giving you a wary sideways eyeball thinking (is this guy crazy or what?) I admire your determination Ed not to let any obstacle get between you and your photo
