I remembered this old Fire watchtower from when i was a kid. It was surrounded by many miles of forest back then. The only forest left now is a couple of acres around the tower. I heard that the tower was scheduled for destruction so I drove down there a took a few shots. I had to clone out a gas station, part of a convenience store, two large trucks. and a lot of signs and power poles. This is as close to the way I remember it as I could get it.

You did a great job cloning. I don't see any evidence of it. Very nice, Ed.

All that work was worth it Ed. What a great shot and you did a wonderful job. That fence is really unique. It is a shame that it is going to come down though. I guess it is not safe anymore and these days, they always have to worry that someone who should not will climb up there and possibly be hurt.

You really do a Fabulous job at cloning Ed, can't tell where any of that stuff was. It's such ashame that this fire tower is going to be torn down this part of history.

I really like this old fire tower...maybe developers bought up all the land to build Golf Retirement Communities. Did you ever climb up to see the view, I bet it has a better one then Citrus Tower....good thing you got the photo before it's gone and forgotten...may it R.I.P.

Nice touch giving it that old B & W feel....thanks for sharing this piece of your past Ed!

So much of the forest has been "cloned off" since your childhood days Ed - like in many places in the world. An image of sentimental value well captured!

You would never have known all those shops, gas station and signs were here. You have done a superb job of cloning. Is this your B&W entry to the contest Ed? If it is, good luck. Nice work you have here!

I love these old fire towers. Part of our Sunday drives with an uncle. Fear and excitement climbing up for the view. Looks right in B/W. Great job on the cloning too.

Suppose it has cost you some time Ed, to clone aout all these objects. Can't see any remains of it, so well done.
The result is a wonderful B&W post my friend.

Great image Huck. Talk about your deer stand. It is a shame that the forest has gone by the wayside. Concrete only grows golden and fallen arches. You will be glad you returned for a photo. Nice cloning.

Ed ... you did a fantastic job of cloning ... I can't tell where the structures or objects were. Love the monotones & the tall watchtower is a standout. Excellent work.
