I've read somewhere that Garlic is a natural Mosquito repellent. Well I planted quite a bit of it in my garden and there's just as many Mosquitoes as there was before. I havn't seen any Vampires so it must work O.K. on them. Now I'm not only getting eaten my Mosquites every time that I go outside but my yard smells like marios pizzeria and restoranta. Now if only I could keep the Werewolves from digging under the fence.

The only way you keen keep mosquitoes away is by spraying Ed. You can't do much if there are swamps near your home. I like the colour of these blooms. They look lovely!

Think the gone vampiers are the reason that the mosquito's are still there, as vampiers are insect consumers. Vampiers have the ability to smell garlic, but I have my doubts whether mosquito's have the same capability as well. Agree therefore with Raj, lol.
Thanks for this fine post my friend.

Fine shot Ed. Take a spray bottle full of the mint flavored listerine with you and spray that around. It sends the mosquitos packing here. It will also help to cover the garlic scent.

You are too funny, Ed. I don't see any mosquitoes in the shot, though. You must have fumigated before taking the shot. Excellent shot it is, too. Great color, lighting, and focus. I'll have a large pan with extra cheese and the works..hold the anchovies.

I think you have to smoke the garlic to keep the mosquitoes away Huck. It may attract the DEA however. For the werewolves it take a Lone Ranger load for your weapon of choice. I hope that helps. Excellent shot.

Ed, I had to chuckle when I read you narration. I often was called a vampire when I worked in a hospital medical lab & one specific patient of mine always brought along a clove of garlic with him hoping it would prevent me from drawing his blood. None the less it didn't work for him.

Love the lighting on the blossoms ... great colors too. Wonderful capture.

Such a lovely lavender flower, I had no idea garlic could be this pretty... Maybe the garlic has to be dug up and smashed in a garlic press before the mosquitoes can be vanquished. I can't think of a better definition of 'vampire' than a mosquito...
