Are those interconnected lines, I see?

Lol. /\ Just kidding a bit here, Ed. Starting to see 'lines' everywhere now, what with the current contest running.

Back to your image here ...

At first glance, your composition appears to be a tad top heavy. However, the ... ahem ... lines of the supporting twig/branch that the dragonfly is resting upon ... do lead the viewer's eyes to the prize of your photo.

The only caveats that I have, and in my humble opinion of course ... is that of some loss of details in the highlights and shadows.

The wings and body/tail and thorax ... are nicely delineated. Towards the back of the head (shadowed area) and then that of the highlights on the twig/branch ... are the areas I am referring to in my above words.

That said ... nice shot. Good bokeh. A pleasant contrast and compliment of colours.

Thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)

Sharp focus on the dragon fly but then this is no exception coming from you, Ed. Great shot as usual.

We had some mosquitoes that could have held their own with the dragon fly Huck. Excellent shot and I like the composition very much.
