I found this growing on some of the firewood I was restacking yesterday. The temperature was down to 50 degrees so I though I'd get ready for a nice warm fire in case the temperature dropped any more. Well it's back up to 78 degrees today and it's going to be in the mid 80's tomorrow so I guess I won't be needing that fire just yet.

You are lucky Ed we are having 37° now as I am writing this. It must have been rather humid for such things to grow on stacked firewood. Good capture.

Maybe that is like a built in mesquite or something. It also might give you a buzz. LOL. Nice close up image, Ed.

Great fungi close-up Ed. As Raj said above, we are having 37° now in our part of the world. 78° would made us sweathening, lol.
Regards, Cornelius.

Interesting photo. Nice texture on the fungi. It's like 2°C here at the moment, so I'd be happy with the 50°F.
