I spotted this snake chasing a lizard through the brush. He's not a happy snake because after I saved the lizard the snake started chasing me through the brush. >> Thanks to all for comments <<

A good close up, and he does have a mean look in his eye.

A beautiful shot Ed and those tiny green shamrocks add just the right touch of color.

I don't think I would have worried too much about the lizard. I would just have run like a bat out of you know where. Great capture...and I hope you were not captured. LOL.

I'd say you out ran the snake. Excellent shot of the snake slithering through the brush, Ed. Nice detail & natural colors too.

It looks like it would make a great whip Huck. I don't like snakes in the grass. This one sure has a dark, black color. Good find.

To me it looks like a black mamba which I suppose does not exist in Florida. Nice shot Ed, but I would be careful chasing snakes or vice versa. I know that you do have poisonous snakes in Florida.

I love all the background details. The dry leaves, the pieces of string, the clover leaves. As for that long black thing with the mean look in his eye - I'd have given him a very wide berth!

That's a beautiful snake Ed, but that wasn't too wise to rescue the lizzard, that could have been real trouble for you.

Do you know what kind that is?
