I started this Hibiscus last year from what looked like a dead branch off of something with a few hairs where roots once were. It was in a bucket of plants that Kitty's friend at work gave her. While planting the mexican petunias and other plants from the bucket I pulled out the stick. Kitty said throw it in the trash it's dead. I told her if it's dead I need to bury it then. I stuck it in the ground by my screen room and now I have a pretty red (with a touch of yellow) Hibiscus. Have a great weekend everyone.

What looks dead may not be is the lesson here I think. Is this a Chinese hibiscus, Ed. It is beautiful. So glad you didn't write it off.

There was still life left in it and you did a good job nursing it to reach this stage Ed. The flower looks wonderful. Nice colour and lighting.
