Modern art usually goes over my head, but I found this sculpture especially beautiful in its simplistic form.

Welcome to Caedes, Matthew!

I have trouble appreciating some of it too... You've captured this from an interesting perspective -- good sky color and interesting contrast, shadow and texture play. I might have tried to clone the little distractions out at the bottom, maybe.
Looks good!

Matthew, to me this is a good image. The dark subject matter is even clear against a clear blue sky and some clouds. Think you've used a so called 'fill in flash'. If so, think a lot of people can learn from you how to handle in these difficult lighting circumstances. Good Job!

Wow...this one needs to be seen full screen to completely appreciate it. You've done a great job showcasing the instrinsic compositional balance in the sculpture by a great use of clouds and sky. As a wallpaper, I'd prefer a rectangular format, and I think no-one would miss it if you had cloned out the truss in the lower left. Nice, nice work.

The lighting is spectacular. I love the shine on that curve. I, too, would probably use it as wallpaper if it was a rectangular image. Very interesting shot!

I really like the balance of the sky and the sculpture.
