Rita - A lovely winter scene. My eye is a bit distracted by the volume of snow on the pond at the bottom of the image; perhaps cropping a small amount off the bottom would keep the eye on the bridge, the focal point of the photo.
Dear Rita, Although I agree with Thad, I must first try and see how it looks with the cropped bottom.:) Otherwise this is one charming and fairy tale-ish image. Great colours, quite unusual for winterscapes too! Congratulations from SAM & SAAB
Your eye for a photo and your FDR skills get better with each shot, Rita. I agree that a tighter crop might bring the foot bridge more to the forefront.
I personally think it's been over 'processed' with HDR, etc. The resultant image as it stands, has almost been totally de-saturated and would perhaps look better in B&W? As for cropping, I would crop out approximately 15% from the left and bottom, as that would bring the bridge into a position that 'draws' you into the image.
Rita, I see that some commenters have given you some 'advice'. That's good as long as it's constructive. You've explained however clearly your intention, so we have to respect your choice and artistic freedom. I join me in your thoughts, so, to me, it's a very nice composition of this Winter Wonderland. I enjoy it very much. Thanks my friend

One comment on "the de-saturation", which was not a manipulation or editing trick.....it is the dead of winter here. The hint of color in this image, in my opinion, is an absolute gift. It is a promise of renewed life when the FROZEN lake flows again. I am fully aware that posting on Caedes leaves us open for a negative critique, so I won't whine about that. Happy shooting my friends and celebrate your freedom to be you!
It looks as though the snow has taken over the whole place and has no intention of leaving soon! Lovely (and harsh) winter scene in this well captured scene Rita.
I wouldn't crop any of it Rita. It is a marvelous composition. I do see that little fishing line float. Did you leave that there when you last fished that stream. I tried walking in our little snow which was only a little over a foot deep and I can imagine how hard it would be to walk in this.
