I think this is an amazing image considering the equipment you were using....nice balanced composition and beautiful waves. Look forward to see what you can do with a better camera....Photoshop is a very expensive way to do what can be done with a lot of available freeware today....welcome to Caedes....I hope you enjoy it.

Nice shot, but you are right, it is a little dark. But don't worry, you'll learn how to use Photoshop eventually. Just open the program, choose a picture and play with it... you can begin with the default filters and adjustments (you'll find them in the main menus ;)) Good luck! :P

You might want to start with Irfanview. It's a small, simple photo editor that eases you into things like Contrast, Color, and Gamma adjustments. This image is nice and relaxing. I like the surf and the sand. It could use a subject, though. The eye when seeing a view like this craves something on which to rest while taking in the rest of the scene.
