Whoa Nelly! Now that's a lot of ice. The branches of the trees are really being weighed down by it. I can see why the power was out. Super shot, and I would love to get a shot like this, but not at the cost of losing power for a week.
Wow, remind me not to complain. We had some freezing rain in WI over the week-end, but most of it was just plain rain. We dealt more with flooding. Anyway, this is spectacular capture, well framed and composed. Good job!
"'Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
This is one of those scenes you have got to have your camera with you. Amazing sight! It looks like a great big net curtain draping either side of the road. Well done!

You must be nearer to me Nessa..this just skirted us in MO. This captured certainly embodies the beauty of an ice storm. Unfortuantely, the havoc that it wreaks is brutal. You did a good job of showing the viewer how much ice is on the branches. Great definition and this is going to my favorites. Thank you for sharing this with me ;=)
Beautiful scene Nessa. Looks like some of the ice we had here. Great capture. Love the leaves shining through the ice. I like that little bend in the road as well. Good post.
