She was participating in a navel gazing contest and couldn't risk looking up to smile for the camera. The winner gets a week in the ice-box. A nice shot of the penguin with good details.

It is clear that he is taking a nap after a long night out !!!
Do not be cheated by the appearances: when I first saw my Boris the Tiger, he has been asleep the whole time I was making my choice between a cat [needs less exercise from a human] and him [I took him because all the kittens were restless while this puppy never moved an ear]. That is what I call the real misapprehension !!!!
He showed for the first five years that the walks ARE meant for him only, so he left me immediately after we left home to come back after two or three hours. Later on he displayed a great activity in chasing cats and fighting with ALL dogs. Only now, when he is 7 [rather post-middle aged gentleman], he starts to behave ...
You never know what this penguin would do, if suddenly wake him up !!! LOL
