It hink thats what he is. There were about 15 at once in my yard, but could never get sneeky enough to catch them at once. =(

Some people are like slinkies, not good for anything but will give you a good laugh when you push them down the stairs. :)

If I could see how he's holding the bat it would be easier to tell if he's attempting to bunt this inning. Though from the way he's leaning into the plate he better be careful he doesn't get picked off with a wild pitch.

Yes indeed! a male Indigo Bunting - you are so lucky! I had these in my yard for a week or so one spring a long time ago and they are absolutely stunning in their "blueness!" good job of capturing this guy - mine were so skittish I never had a chance!
