I wanted to catch the Egret in flight, much to my surprise I also captured its reflection in the water as well as the relfection of the surrounding trees. Let me know what you think.

You have a nice post here. The water is nice and tranquil casting nice reflections. I may have tried to play with the colors just a bit to bring the water out more, but all in all a nice post.

Hi Sean ... action shots can be a challenge especially birds in flight. I would say you were successful.

Like Rich mentioned I would suggest playing with the colors some & also bumping up the contrast a bit. Personally I find the reeds on the bottom do not add anything to the image, so I would have cloned them out ... which can be easily done in an editing program.

It is a great capture & I do like the mirrored reflection of the bird. Will be looking forward to more of your posts.

I had this in VB and gave it a 9. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was due to the rather dull colors. The egret looking at its reflection while flying was outstanding. I realize is was a spur of the moment shot and I think you did very well under those circumstances. Good photo.
