I was surprised that this big grasshopper actually let me get close enough to take this picture. I was literally two or three inches from it.

Yeah, they usually take off after seeing any movement at all. Very nice shot, except that it looks like it is a dirthopper in this picture. LOL

Good shot. And success, it's difficult to get close to them. I am afraid of insects, but not that much of grasshoppers. By the way, where is the grass? :)))))
