Over the years at school, we have been taught about Hitler and what he did to shape the world we live in today. I don't mean to offend anyone with this image, I just thought it would be a worthy entry into the contest. Although this is not a dream I have, I can recall someone that has had one like this. Back in March, a survivor of Hitler came to my school..She was from Hungary and she told her story to us. She mentioned nightmares and dreams she had after she had escaped, so I made this in honour of her and anyone else effected by Hitler's reign. I am not Jewish BTW...

I just had to look again....wow! Like crawl-spaces behind the walls...secret hide-away places. Dark and eerie, yet a haven.

Frightening, dramatic, and a very very powerful message in this "dream"....I was born in Germany...and the pain people went thru was horrendous for sure. And the way you did this, and applied it to that time period is certainly very fitting...Verena

Very good. It's so well done :) That star and the other little detail are just the right touch the monotone-image needed. I think that this one could be even darker. And that photo there maybe needs a little tweak with it's hue. I mean that it sort of needs something very little that is really barely noticeable but still makes the image more effective. The atmosphere is quite just the right. great work and good luck with the contest :)

Very good presentation.The fear feeling is very strong in the image. It seems like one is drawn to the door.The reddish/brown color is like blood?The star adds a sad rememberance. Thanks Nigel, for this emotion filled dream. Best of luck in the dream contest. This is a worthy entry~

I really like this artwork. I like the depth and moodiness. The color is befitting your history. This is the kind of image that would make a good poster and viewed from a distance. It really makes one want to keep exploring for all the details and nuances. Well done! anne
