Beautiful capture! The flowers came out perfectly clear Nigel. I'm not too sure about what type of flower it is. We have something like it in our gardens, I'll have to ask my mom. I also like the green background as well. This is going into my favourites and onto my desktop!

She knows the voices in her mind, they tell her to leave. She's tired of smiling madly, until silence becomes very silently a noise in her mind. After all she has nothing inside, no good to give no meaning to live. The mist engulfed tonight, every single star. - Delerium

Great use of natural lighting, perfect contrast and a nice framing of the subject. I also like how the focus softens as it blends into the background color at the same time, so you have this gradation of line and color. Very effective. Once again, a top notch work. anne :-)

It's a beauty Nigel and I'm wondering what it is as well. The contrast of the pinks among the green is very pleasing. It almost looks mirrored at the bottom. Very lovely photo. Thanks so much for bringing it to us. Anita

I really like the way the focus slowly goes out as you look further down the flower, also the soft green background as others have said, is very nice. The composition is a little strange.. but i think it works well the way it is.
