Another view of the Regent's Canal in Islington, London - this time it might look more as you'd expect from a big city!

I love the perspective you get on the buildings, very nice shot. Guess graffiti is everywhere, although I really don't recall seeing any in Thailand. At least the colors are nice!

Nigel, I always think gasometers are amazing things as they constantly change. You should photograph from the same spot when the gasometers have changed. The picture is great, as you say more like an urban canal is expected to look. Like Jan, I quite like the odd graffito here and there.

Graffiti. Can't get away from it no matter where you go. What in the world is Braces talking about-gasometers? Great cityscape.

I'd like to take the walk down along the canal. Nice perspective on this shot, Nigel, and I think the grafitti helps define the image.

THis has such a lot going for it - great perspective with those lines and interesting shapes, with a reflection to add even more interest. Without the graffiti it would be more ordinary. I love city pictures like this - beyond the showcased areas.

It does have the lived in look Sir Nigel. I like the graffiti as well. The curving lines all throughout this post are great. Color is really good.

This looks like just about any big city in the U.S. Graffiti all over the place. Very nice picture, with nice reflections in the canal. Not the usual London shot I am used to seeing in books or magazines. Has the Queen walked through there recently? LOL.

You need to get out in the countryside a bit more!....

Then maybe not...you may outclass me, if you do!...

Excellent capture..

Maybe I'm strange but I kind of rather like some graffiti, depending on whether it's defacing something nice or not and if it's done well. To me there's a certain "city charm" to it, especially some of the amazing murals I've seen in some cities. I just like art :) This is pretty cool Nigel but I'm with Pat, What on Earth is a Gasometer??? And yeah, I want to see how it changes... How does it change, what is it for? And DOES the Queen know about this? haha! :)

Nigel, what do they keep in the giant elephant cage? lol. Great dof and composition. I do not like graffiti. Not because of where it is found but rather for what it represents.

Nice perspective on this one Nigel, I like the way the path leads you in to the gas tower. I have to say that graffiti adds to the picture too!
