And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Those Bobgoblins are the worst! Let's hope we don't come across any. Wonderful macro shot Nigel and well spotted. You have given us a marvellous woodland scene but in miniature. I like the odd splashes of colour in the background as well.
What pretty little mushrooms...they seem a bit translucent-very pretty! I am sure in a beautiful setting like this one- pixies and fairies keep the Bobgoblins far...far away! A wonderful post!

A very fine close-up with just the right perspective to show off this trio. Did you use any extra lighting for this scene or just what was available? Great range of color makes this image come alive.

That's a scary thing to come across...an Owd Bobgoblin, that is. LOL. Beautiful work on this trio, Nigel. It has a professional look to it. Very well done.
Beautiful shot, good composition and with that I mean that the mushrooms are not in the center of the picture and that's good,
the clearity and the DOF are perfect :o)
A beautiful shot Sir Nigel. It looks like they are huddled together fearing Bobgoblin. Actually I think it is a photo of Peter, Paul and Mary singing this song. Mary Travers died September 16, 2009 and this is a great tribute for her.
Excellent. Boy, aren't you the photographer. I like the orange behind the mushrooms. I think about 3 of those brights spots should have been cloned out. Keep-pah!
* Owing to the deterioration in my hands, I find that I cannot comment as much as I should..But please know...I do look at all your posts!..and will leave my 'moniker' >OB< when I do so!...Thank you all *

Is that Phil Collins I hear in the background 'it was the battle of Epping Forest' - ah, showing me age. Nicely prepared 'shrooms - good enough to eat?
Such wonderful Autumn colors, Nigel. Nicely focused too. I can see you on the ground getting perspective on these little mushrooms. Well done. I missed that shot of OB as a troll! That was hilarious.
This fantastic photo of yours actually brought a tear to my eye. It reminded me of when I was a small girl in Germany. I played with mushrooms, pretending they were little homes for little cutout people I had. I love the tiny leaf that's right there next to the shroom. Your talent in these photos is just awesome. Thank you for sharing such beauty with us all. Verena
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly, like a millionaire intent on going broke
Lovely, very lovely Nigel.
Thanks
