This is SOOOO very interesting! I love the idea...I have done watercolour painting and I thnk I might just try this..if I am brave enough!! But I like this so much..great colours too.
Makes for great wallpaper, too. Great colors for your illustration and good choice of background colors. What makes it really interesting is where the corners of the torn strips are lifting a bit.
1. Size, whack it up to 1600 x 1200.
2. Increase saturation to deepen colours / play with the Gamma.
3. Lose the 2 purple triangles bottom left and right.
Overall a lovely composed piece with very intersting subject matter, I love that the broken flower is on what I deem as denim complete contrast. Your strokes are very fluid and dynamic however lose depth as stated before. You can rectify this through manip.
As I said lovely piece with intricate work. The only way is up. Cheers NiK :)
i really like this. perhaps i will experiment on my own with this idea. i love the pinky hues you used. What kind of flower did you draw? It looks like a hibiscus. (pardon my spelling)
