Interesting. If that is blown glass (I'm sure it is if it's Dale Chihuly), it almost appears as if it were a type of golden spider insect with red rays doing a reverse and casting a spell on an imaginative blue reptile.

Love this pic and love Chihuly pieces

I'm not familiar with Dale Chihuly but I have seen glass blowers at work before and I must marvel at what they can do.
The busy background of this image makes it a little difficult to fully appreciate the art work here but that was something you could not control. Interesting post.
