Imagine the hardship the explorers and the settlers endured
sailing the Atlantic to reach the Caribbean and the new world.
Now, we do it in pure luxury. I just love cruising.

Those floating hotels are amazing. However, aside from the necessary airflight, I prefer terra firma. lol I love the contrast you present with the realtive sizes of the two water craft.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

What a great picture, it clearly shows the difference between the ships !!
man oh man, the first ship looks as large as the island itself !!
Great picture, thanks for sharing it here at caedes.
Ned, this is a great capture. I love the contrast in this photograph.
I agree fully with your 'description'.
I'm not sure, but I suppose that this image is taken at one of the Virgin Island, perhaphs San Thomas. Am I wrong or right? Please let me know. Regards, Cornelius
I like pictures that really 'say'something and this one does. Great post. The old boat is far more pictureque and seems dwarfed by the other but that is not to say I would refuse a holiday on the larger one :)
Gorgeous shot and what a view, that old ship does look very small against the new ones.
I'm with you my husband (International, World & Olympic Figure Skating for Canada & I (Coached for 30 years), do a lot of cruising since we are retired from the sport. I've been to this port also. Sure brings back wonderful memories.
