This was done on a 24x30 canvas in oils, I haven't really done much in the way of seascapes, but I did enjoy these two in the way of practice .

Oh I really like this one Eugene, of the two I do prefer this one, I really can feel the sense of motion of the boat, and waves.

Open images at full resolution and take a few steps back...
I like the low angle of the painting that makes you feel as if you are a part of the stormy drama...it actually creates the emotion of concern for the boat. The lighting on the water is really nice, too.

Is this one of those New England fishing boats limping its way from the Grand Banks into a Newfoundland outport? A fantastic image and outstanding painting, Eugene. Wonderful colours and drama in the scene.
