These are a few pysanky Easter eggs that I have made. Each one takes 2 hours or can take days to make. Each line and symbol has a meaning. You use multiple dyes starting with the lights and you use hot beeswax in a tool called a kistka, to make lines and designs, then you keep dying the eggs dark and dark between waxing. Once they are all done you need to take the wax off and out comes a beautiful egg. Oh I forgot to mention, I drill a small hole in the bottom of each egg and drain them, so they can last forever if taking care of. I hope you like them.

Very pretty. You must be very talented to make something as beautiful as those. Great work.

I want one too! Will probably be very valuable to have a "Laura" original design soon! These are beautifully designed, created and photographed. Can only imagine the patience and steady hands it takes. Thank you for sharing them. Now you'll need some of those special display holders to showcase them...

Love this shot - I saved it for one of my Easter time wallpapers. My Mom has several of these given to her by people she worked with and they are over 35 years old now and still beautiful. You're very talented.

I am filled with admiration. They are beautiful and I have heard that they are very difficult! What patience!!! And Skill!!! If you do another, could you possibly photograph it in stages as you develop it?
