This was taken in Sedona AZ. in the spring, I thought B&W would work best for this photo, He was playing a wooding flute and had the most beautiful, almost haunting sound. He was playing the music of his people if you look close you can see a mic strapped on to the flute. The music from the past with today's technology. PS, it has still raining everyday, so this is why I am back to looking into my old photo. Rain can be so boring.

I can almost hear the music with your description Laura. I must admit I miss the colorful attire of the Native Americans.
Good post and hopefully the rain will subside.

Interesting pic...and I do like the black and white, but I'm wondering if you tried it in sepia?

This is nice in B&W, but I would love to see it in color, too. Nice work, Laura.

You captured an air of intensity here , subtle though, well done with the B+W.

I like this player, but I don't like B&W, in general, and I think this one would have been better, for me, in color, because I like to see the rich with different colors Indian clothes. Just my modest opinion.

A nice B&W capture of the Native American flute player, Laura. Great job. I wish you could send some of that rain down here. It's been so hot i wouldn't think about going outside.

Nice shot - I think sepia might have worked as well.

Nice capture, Laura! I too, enjoy the sound of flute music, especially that of Native Americans. I wish he would had been looking at you. From the comments above me, I see that some prefer colour and others b+w or sepia. I think I would like to see it in color, myself. But I also think this would be a great photo to experiment with selective color, in leaving the main subject in color and his surroundings in b+w. Just a suggestion. And of course, thank you for sharing this with us! :)
