This is another shot I took this spring of the Grand Canyon and I think that is the Colorado River down there. It will help if you open this on up, then you can see it. Why I haven't put this one up before today was; I was having a lot of trouble with my horizon line, I still don't know if it is right. It is what it is.....I hope you will enjoy it.

What a beautiful, sweeping scene you have captured Laura. I believe your horizon is straight. I think perhaps the big bluff on the upper left is creating an optical illusion that makes you think it is not straight. The blue of the river looks gorgeous cutting through the canyon.
Excellent.

They say the Grand Canyon is one of the most difficult places there is to photograph...and I think you did a wonderful job. I really like the lavendar hills and the detail on the terraces in the middle ground.

Excellent job with the grand Grand Canyon view. It is hard to photograph since it's so large but you captured the grandeur of this national treasure...Congrats Laura!

You're absolutely right that is the Colorado river. Isn't it amazing how small it looks as if it was just a stream? I can tell you from experience being down there it's absolutely a massive river with no way for me to throw a rock across it.

Fantastic shot, I hope to return there again and hike it.
