I like the effect of having the flower cross the plane of the picture frame and thus being the only object in focus. I also like your compostion in only giving the flower color versus the earth tones of the environment surrounding it.

I really love the subject, but on this one I'm not really thrilled with the frame. I like the idea, but I think it's the color that's throwing me off...great shot of those buds!!
