Hi Dave, been asked to leave a comment so here goes. it is an interesting picture, presumably grabbed while you could and cropped a lot to get the subject larger; but the bird is still lost in the detail of the background making it more a picture of the fire than the bird. These comments are from a purely artistic perspective. Such shots as these - taken while you have an opportunity, which then flies away - are very difficult to get, and to have captured anything says a lot. I usually miss them completely.
Dude no offence but the picture lacks substance and variation very flatly coloured (black and white is not a very good colour scheme specially when you intend to emphasise the black object surrounded by other black object). In my view you should have emphasised on the fire in the case you would have to computer enhance it a bit for the red is excessively pale.
