This is my first upload the The Caedes. Just interested in your thoughts. I'm trying out a new camera and haven't gotten used to all the features. I suppose that I should have braketed the image so that i could get more detail to the flower. Oh well.... Advice and comments are welcome.

The composition is quite interesting - centering the flower would be probably a little boring. The colours of the bloom are nice and the details and hues of the curled leaf are great. The water also is nice coloured and shaded. All in all, quite a nice pic. If using it as a desktop, have you thought about flipping it horizontally for desktop icons?

Hmmm, I never thought of that. I might have to try that and see what happens. I suppose it'd be easier to see the icons and flower if I did that. Thanks for the input!

Very pretty. I like the curled leaf because you can see those mottled colors on the underside of the leaf.

great shot! i love the colors! even better is where u shot it, longwood has a ton of beautiful waterlilies. i was there the other day! so gorgeous. congrats on ur 1st upload. it's way better than my 1st and so far only upload! yeah for waterlilies!
