in portugal, this is the name of them. i'll try to explain in english what thery are. well, this rock are diferente related with the others. they have a special characterisitc. they have babys. i'm not joking. they could reproduce more rocks like them with the sun power. Like a woman, have sons. the rock of the foto, in this momento have some clack zones thar are new rocks wich one day, they will be alone from her mother. they just exist in two countries all over the world. i think. i like it. i hope you like too bye JQ

Nice image of this interesting stone. I have never heard of this before so did some reseach and it is named because the mother-rock (granite) seems to "give birth" expelling smaller rocks (the biotite nodules). I like how you have used the natural light here and I always love learning new things. Well done!

Thanks for explaining about this rock. It's helpful to learn new things and this is so unusual. I wish I could see more of this rock-it looks very large. It's interesting to see the small rocks on the large (mother) rock. Maybe you could give us some more of these rocks? Thanks for the info!
