Alandroal is a very typical portuguese village at Alentejo. I love these old streets

I too like looking at and walking along old streets admiring the buildings. This is a great shot and the village looks so well kempt. You have captured it nicely with the light and shadows. Good post Antonio.

This reminds me of my first visit to Portugal when I was 13, in 1966, we went to Armacao de Pera in the Algarve. In those days it was a quiet seaside village with two small hotels. Many of the streets were like this and in the evening most houses had small charcoal grills outside for cooking sardines. We watched England win the 1966 World Cup on a public television in a small park. There were 5 English people there, all the rest were Portuguese or German. All the Portuguese were supporting Germany because England had beaten Portugal in the Semi-Finals! Good memories, thanks Antonio.

Great shot! I love the look of the whole image, the houses, the potted plants and vines and the bright colors of the paint on the wood. The lighting is inviting too.
