Lucern - Switzerland: This bridge bends as it leaves the shore, then angles across the river past a stone Wasserturm (Water Tower) that is believed to have once served as the lucerna, or lighthouse, after which the town was named. In reality, the bridge isn't as old as it looks. The Kapellbrücke was nearly destroyed by a 1993 fire, and much of what stands today is an excellent restoration.

Great depth in this one Doc. Textures are outstanding.

They even scroll cut the beams. Reminds me of the covered bridges that dot the U.S. in some places. They don't have those wonderful paintings on them though.

This is a great shot of this bridge. I like the lines in it and also how it seems to go on for ever getting smaller into the distance. I think taking it at night gives it more impact than if it was taken during the daylight hours. So well done - a brilliant capture.
