Lots of potential in this shot. The black and white works very well. The depth of field and focus are right on the button. My only complaint is that it feels like the composition is off - maybe because the top of the pot is chopped off.

A unique and artistic view of an ordinary, everyday object that wouldn't normally get a second look. A nice close-up shot, Paul, with excellent detail in the area of focus. I like the composition and wouldn't pay too much attention to the C-Index.

Paul, I also agree on the composition of your picture. I even found myself wanting to look deeper into the cup. The c-index is especially wrong but as Steve said, do not pay too much attention to it and keep looking for shots like this one, something unique and interesting.
