You're very lucky to have this outside your back door. What an amazing sight. I am sure that were these to be seen every day we might begin to take them for granted. I guess this is what is meant by going out in a blaze of glory. I am glad that I live in NE and am reminded so vividly of the cycles of change and am reassured that there is a master artist who designed this progression of cycles for our enjoyment and to remind us that He is creating the world anew in every moment. A beautiful post, PJ.
