This is one of those situations where the orange of the leaves and blue of the water work well together. It's often that way with nature. If we do a painting with contrasting colors they fight and vibrate and generally make us feel poorly just looking at them. But nature has a way of placing just the right hues of contrasting colors together to make it come out right, as in this photo. The only thing that seems out of place is what appears to be a building facade peeking out of the leaves in the upper left. I'd leave it there, though---it's kind of a Where's Waldo effect.
I feel as though I am sitting high up in that tree looking at a view that can only be described as pristine. I can even smell the freshness of the cobalt clear creek below and of the golden and crimson colored leaves. Leaves are one of my favorite things to see in nature, especially in Autumn. So glad you have taken this before all the leaves have fallen. Thank you PJ, for this marvelous capture, and for allowing me to sit here just a little while longer :) And giggles at "crik"! :) Lori
This is a "wow..thats beautiful!" picture! The lovely colors just grab your attention & hold it right there! What a great background that beautiful blue water makes for the autumnal colors of the turning leaves! Great comp, great clarity, great colors, and a great shot PJ!! Into my favs! C):-) *

Well a sunny day in the Autumn make the trees captures even better and with the background of a river, the shadows in the tree, make all this capture have a smile on it self.

Lovely combination of textures, shadows and color, PJ. A very cheerful presentation and I can see the movement in your 'crik' through the trees. Super!
I really like this one PJ! The colors are so rich and vibrant with wonderful detail. The lines of the tree branches capture the eye and the sky and water add even more interest. The lighting perfectly enhances without making the colors harsh.
PJ, are you sure you're not from Tennessee. They tend to call it a crik also. What can I say about this image that hasn't already been covered. ~~~WOW~~~ Another beautiful burst of color.
This is such a pretty shot PJ .... You are so lucky to have colors like this where you are. Hey wait no we are lucky too ..you brought this to us .... How great is that ..wonderful indeed.. The water below and lighting really sets this ne off to a perfect scene
This is beautiful Pat...one of better Autumn scnes posted. Such a beautiful day makes the colors so vivrant and the water in stream very dark blue and clear...nice work...gerry..
Hi PJ. my oh my how absolutely stunning in every way! If this is a classic example of what the beautiful North East is serving you this fall, then, how fortunate you are!!! The colors of autumn are truly expressed in this image of beauty, with the blue of the water below and the ravishing loveliness of the sky above, well, it doesn't get much better than this and I simply love it! A fantastic shot PJ of your North Eastern Autumn glow!! Nice work and I expect and hope to see much more of your expertise during this firery season of fall! Sincerely, Marilyn
Hello
I'm new to the caedes community and have been browsing the various artists works and am very impressed with your captures. Brings back so many memories of my home in KY and the beautiful fall colors. Thank you for this beautiful image.

I'm almost afraid to comment on this because I've seen many of your critiques and they are about as thorough as anyone could want. So would it be alright if I just said I find this image most attractive. Looking through the tree as you've composed this is a tad unusual and MOST effective here. The clarity is excellent and ... Nope ... that's it ... I'm intimidated by your expertise. It's a great image in MY eyes and that C-Index stinks in MY opinion.
Perfect for a desktop. WELL DONE, thanks for sharing, Don
