The soft approach was shot down almost as fast as I put it up, so I'm bringing in the defender of the hibiscus portion of the garden (after a few minor adjustments). She's sharp and not afraid to stab you with her beauty...beware the Hibiscus Avenger has re-arrived...muah..muah.

I could not get the first one. This is a beauty. A lovely Royal purple background to this which brings out the great clarity this bloom has to offer, even if she carries a sting !!

Great use of depth of field, great composition with the balance of leaves flaring out in straight lines to contrast with the rotundity of the subject. Really really superior flower photography!
