I found these pretties late summer and as I was looking up information on them, I found a little video about them that runs for just a short time, but was loaded with info. So if you're bored and have nothing to do this busy holiday season.. HERE IS A TIME KILLER

EDIT: This came out darker than I expected. Any thoughts on reloading it?

They look great as is. You attention is drawn to them and they appear to be like a light glowing in the dark. Any lighter and you would lose that effect. Great post PJ.

try either reducing contrast just a touch, which would lower highlight levels, and decrease your shadow depth, or if you'd like to keep the highlights as-is, just reduce your shadows, or go into PS>image>adjust>Selective Color, and slide back the "black" slider in the neutral channel, the black channel, or both.

also I'd crop in about 25% from the right. That peat moss is deadening the image(IMO),whereas the green gives off a more vibrant feel. that would also take your flowers out from dead-center ;-)

Nothing to do? You've got to be kidding! lol I haven't had time for Caedes that's for sure and trying to catch up isn't easy. I love echinacea and you reminded me that I want to get some white ones and yellow ones too. These are really pretty.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . My late father always said jokingly: "A day has 24 hours. When that's not enough for you to complete your work, you have to continue at night." That's the reason I've still some time to comment on new posts, lol.

I like it dark PJ, I'm not one for bright images - prefer deeper colours. And that's what you got here - I'm not sure I've ever seen those colours in a bloom before. Love the shapes too. I'm glad you dug these out.
