Just after a storm, the wind and clouds had moved out the night before and it was time to visit Long and Short Sands Beach close to Kittery, Maine. One stop on this trip was the well-known Nubble Lighthouse. I love the colors permeating the waters that seem to only show up in this cove. The waves were terrific !!! I am going to attempt another series and this will be the first post. It was a great day and one that was sorely needed...sunshine, ocean and a visit to an old and still-lively-with-color graveyard.... Hope you'll enjoy my short trip...it certainly did a lot to lift my spirits. :)PJ

I am glad my eyes get to nibble on the Nubble Lighthouse. It is beautiful. When you return, I must say you do it with a splash. Great angle on this one Peej and that water coloring is great. I would like to be at the lighthouse looking at the view beyond. I hope I get a chance to see just that in the series. It is about time you come back and see us. We get lonely for our little Phasmid.

Have a good evening.

The lighthouse and buildings look like toys, but there's nothing childish about the power of that water. I like the perfect curve of the wave leading into the rocks and the beautiful deep blue of the sea. That graduated sky is very nice too, and the little splash of red brings it all together. Nicely done PJ.

Isn't that just a great spot to spend the afternoon? Great ocean breezes. It's nice to see Nubble showcased. It's often neglected in favor of that other Maine lighthouse (Portland Head). Beautiful shot. I love how you kept the lighthouse off-center - gives a sense of scale, reminds us that what we build is a mere speck dotting the coastline. Thanks!
