a couple of very brooding shots taken of Ivan yesterday from the ISS - they really capture the immense power and danger present at such an event.

This shot is even creepier! In this shot you can see the actual size of the hurricane better. Really amazing, thanks again for sharing these :o)

There's an emptiness inside her and she'd do anything to fill it in. Though it's red blood bleeding from her now, it's more like cold blue ice in her heart. She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this life. She could change everything about her using colors bold and bright, but all the colors mix together...to grey. ~*DaveMatthewsBand*~

For some reason this seems like a rather odd photo. I mean, is the hurricane THAT big??
The world looks so small. The curve just seems too abrupt, but I've never been to space so, this is pretty amazing ;)

Thanks for sharing this.

theres some lens barrel distortion which alters the image somewhat through a porthole in the station which also adds to this effect i'd imagine.

when they measured the storm last night from the station it was a whopping 460 miles wide and growing...

These are absolutely amazing shots. I like the perspective on this one a little better....for some reason the other shot gave me a disorienting feeling. Great job, well done, 10/10 and in my favorites!
