The contrasting landscapes of the Patagonia Plateau in Argentina and southern Chile, with lush greenery, white glaciers, aquamarine lakes and brown arid steppes. The Andes Mountains form a natural boundary between the two South American countries and are responsible for the high contrast in landscape. The Patagonian ice field is the largest ice mass in the Southern Hemisphere containing more than 50 big glaciers all either going through cycles of retreats and advances or in static ‘limbo’.

This is what I'd call a true 'macro'! It really is amazing!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

This is one of the more intriguing images you have re-worked in my opinion Phil. It has so many textures, colors, shapes etc.in it that I am not sure how you managed to clean them up so I could view it :)
I find the clear blue lakes and that fantastic greenery to be the most fascinating to me. When one studies this image more closely, it is amazing how Mother Nature, in her wisdom, managed the separation.
Many thanks once again for all the work you do to bring me yet another lesson ;=)
