A nice perspective well photographed. I have also been in the Mississippi a few times with ships loading grain.

Like Raj, I've sailed in my former career the Mississippi River a few times too.

Your image shows in good perspective its wideness, Charles.

Bridges are so fascinating and beautiful. I often look at them and wonder about the first person who decided that spanning a River could be possible; then the task was undertaken creating a thing of such beauty and functional use. This pair of bridges is a perfect example, Charles, and they are high enough for sailboat masts! Good shot.

I simply agree with the others, well done Charles. I might have cloned out the pole on the lower left, but that is just a thought.

Great perspective and the low angle really works.

I have been on riverboats in New Orleans. One of America's great cities. For me, I love to see geometry in the composition of photography (or just pictures in general). You have two strong diagonal lines and a strong horizon line. All good stuff.

Really like the angle showing us the under side of those 2 great bridges. I agree about cloning out the pole but still a great shot
